DATING START!

This was so cute!! This gave me all the right fuzzies! Enormous congrats on finishing your game! I really appreciate that you wrote platonic options in for all our aroace friends. I'm also a hopeless lover of slow burns so waiting a little bit before doing anything romantic really made it all even sweeter for me. Thank you thank you~!

First of all, I would like to say I respect that you went above the expectations of a free project and gave some movement to the character sprites. I know that it takes quite a bit of time to make sure everything looks good and works correctly. Please do tell if you ever plan to make another short free game on the Undertale multiverse, I would be thrilled to help! :)

I found your Papyrus to be very endearing. He literally made my day. His sparkly eyes are TOO CUTE. I also love how his cheekbone are so tiny and so high on his face. The sprite looks so adorable, it isn't fair! I couldn't stop giggling at his antics, and how sweet and supportive he is after figuring out that you like Sans. All while being totally serious about his work. Truly, the COOLEST cinnabun, Sans is totally right. 

Also, the whole thing with Undine made me laugh way too much. Especially went she started shouting her intent to win the sparring session. That's an in-character Undine moment if I ever saw one. Might I add I was *really* worried about hurting Undine so my first reaction was to immediately pet her? She looked so confused and sorta disappointed? But I felt kind of proud? It was the oddest sparring match ever in my head, I swear hahaha!

And Alphys omg, the whole "I ship it thing" had me bending over. There's only so much air in my lungs hahaha! I can't. I mean, it's not the first time I see someone writing her saying that, but the whole scene is pretty well delivered by all characters involved. 

I guess my one critic is that Mettaton felt... Underrepresented? I guess he could have a little more screen time. He has an overly dramatic public persona, but sometimes he shows how nice he can be. I wonder what kind of input he would have given on dating... Probably something over the board involving drama, action, guns... And roses. Tons of roses and glitter. Maybe the equivalent of rescuing the poor "damsel in distress" just... So much more extra. I would be ecstatic at attempting it just for the ridiculousness of it all. And to see Sans' face (noimnotsorrySans).

Anyway, I'll be sure to post here if I find any videos on your game. I don't think I can bring myself to reset after getting the Best Ending, so I guess I will wait. I could never go through with finishing Genocide in the original game so I'll watch the other endings with the help of other people. I even tried some AU games but I can't bring myself to kill anyone. Heh. Me and my marshmallow heart, I'm definitely Kindness, I swear... Probably some Patience mixed in too.

I'll be definitely recommending this to other fans. My one complaint is that I want moooaar. Hahahaha. Congrats again!

PPS: Can I just say that hearing "... Come here often?" from Sans just melts my heart? I feel that flirting is one of those things that is so rare to see him doing without quite joking, even for people that know him for very a long time. I don't know. It's so simple but it feels special. 

PPPS...?: Can I be greedy and kindly ask for a gallery mode? I just want to be able to re-read certain key moments without having to reset the game. 'w'

I didn't expect this game to make me cry about how soft it was, but GOD THAT WAS WONDERFUL.

Honestly, I came into the with absolutely no idea what the hell to expect, since I played the demo last year back in November and have no recollection of it despite following this game since then. But damn this was amazing and I wanna thank you for making this and reaching the release date.

HAGDJSDAAHAGSJDHASD I ENJOYED THIS MORE THAN I THOUGHT I WOULD AND I THINK I GAINED FEELINGS THAT I PROBABLY WON'T GET ANYMORE ACK--

Other than me completely going soft because of the moments with the local bone boy (somewhat ashamed i felt like a damn schoolgirl but it was too cute damnit), I liked how everyone felt very in character and how they kept getting a reaction out of me. Admittedly, the whole bit with Undyne, Alphys, and Paps probably made me more embarrassed than it should have, but it was still very amusing. 

But since I finished the game with True Love, it feels very wrong to reset everything just to milk all the possible content, despite how tempting that missing music and CG is. And while that secret route might be calling out to me, I'm pretty happy about the end of True Love, it felt very final for the lovebirds and I don't wanna ruin that for shits and giggles.

I actually stayed up until it came out to start playing it, lol. I had forgotten to write a review until now. (Fun fact, I actually played the demo back in late October and have been following you ever since.)

I actually really enjoyed this game, and was surprised that for most of the choices with sans, there was a kiss option. (I thought it was kinda funny, actually) As I was playing, I thought the moments between the characters were so funny that I used the back button to see them again. The Flowey twist was definitely something I wasn't expecting. I liked how the game would close and just leave me in shock. I haven't played many otome/dating games, but I would definitely say that this one was one of the better ones.

Edit: I forgot to add that I did the secret Papyrus route. It made me feel awful, since I tend to be very loyal. That little handshake with sans made my heart break. Also, I was too attached to the characters to do the genocide route, and I don't think I ever will, no matter how curious I may be.

I liked how it stuck to the normal style of undertale, the characters stayed how you would expect them to act in the actual undertale game. also the character art work was amazing (my lights actually went out in my house while I was playing this XD)

firstly I did the good ending ,then I did the genocide route and I made a deal with chara. then I reseted and the knife is automatically is here with me,and I don't want it?? for obvious reasons (I don't want to kill sans over and over again) 

can you help me with this? or I just broke the whole fucking game?

Fantastic game! I gotta admit, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that there was a platonic soulmates option, it honestly made me tear up a little, as a lonely aroace who just wants to be best pals with my favorite skeletal comedian. The story was delightful and the art was absolutely gorgeous, and the characters were all well-written and nobody felt out-of-character at all! It did feel a little odd to be repeatedly referred to as "kiddo" by the love interest of the game, even though Toriel mentions that the player is an adult. Overall, a very fun experience that'll leave me feeling warm and happy inside for a very long time. Thank you for making this wonderful game, it was well-worth the wait <3

I really want to play the genocide route as well but I just cant bring myself to hurt anyone. I felt bad enough when I went on a date with Papyrus after getting together with sans lol..

AHHH I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! I REMEMBER PLAYING THE DEMO AND IT WAS SO AMAZING!! THE FULL GAME WAS SO MCUH MORE THAN I WAS HOPING FOR THANK YOUUUUUU

That was fun!  Thank you very much for making this.  Now I'll have to struggle with the idea of Resetting to get the last CG or go through the other path.

Story was cute, artwork was good (especially the CG images), I had to play mute though because it is now 3 am so unfortunately I didn't hear the music or the Voices.  Some points felt a little rushed but that's true of the original game as well.  It handled the save system well and admittedly at first I thought it crashed.  You handled that bit very well!  Only problem I can think of is that I had the game save screenshots but for some reason I can't find them.  I wanted to sit down and solve the crossword...

Potential spoilers but I'll try to keep it very general as possible:

The characters felt very true to themselves and I found that one scene with our favorite couple to be very adorable both ways (especially the session).  Toriel was a bit pushy in regards to a character implied to be older than Frisk but she was very kind all the same.  Papyrus made me want to scream a few times (which is true of canon as well) but he was still funny and excited and I found him to be very sweet when he began to suspect.  Mettaton had me wanting to boo him (the leg doubly so) but he felt surprisingly tame considering how he was in the game.  At the same time seeing as how this is a post near-Paci Neutral route, he did have a bit of a wakeup call before the new human showed up so him being 'tamer' felt fine.  And then there's Flowey.  As always, he's a rat bas... ... he's a punk and admittedly a lot of our interactions I acted completely out of spite.

With the final act, from after the job to the grand finale, I found it to be very good.  The very end was sweet and what happens when you open again did a much better job of talking me out of going again than the original did.  There's still the "what if" impulse but for now I'll leave our lovebirds alone.

Congrats on reaching release!  A lot of promising fan-VNs get stalled early in development, but you've did it!  I forget when I first saw this but I'm definitely excited to see what kind of shenanigans you put the poor characters through given what happened in the demo.

Doubly so given that the player drops into a post-Neutral route rather than being in an alternate take on mid-UT (InLove), post-Paci (Kissy Cutie), pure excuse-plot (Dancing with a Beautiful Robot, Nuts in Bolts) or hilariously insane (Tem Dayting).  The consequences of being a Human in an Underground where Undyne might have been the reason why Toriel went back to the Ruins will be hilarious given that people are here to flirt with Sans.  Whether Papyrus still lives will undoubtedly affect how Sans reacts to a new human.  Especially one with a knife (thanks Flowey).

Very long comment incoming.  I just finished the Demo!  I so a post on Tumblr linking this game and and the Countdown for it (I really like that Countdown thing you did by the way!), and came here to check it out.  I wanted to play the Demo before the full game came out, just to get a feel for things, and because sometimes there is some different stuff (like dialogue) in the demo not in the full game, because it is demo-only stuff kind of.  So I decided to play the Demo before the full game releases in just 4 days.  

I am going to talk about the actual demo now!  I really like all the sprites and how everyone looks, and the little animations for like when characters blink and for when Flowey attacks you.  Everything just looks so good and I love the coloring.  Sans and Tori's looks/designs are probably my favorite so far, defin. for the demo.  

I really like all the accessibility options and captions and the all the different settings you can choose from too.  I esp. like how you can take screenshots just with the S button, makes things much easier.  The Self-voicing is also really interesting, it is cool that the VN is basically voice acted with it, if you so choose to have it enabled.  

Some things I noticed about the self-voicing though, is that I would love if you could maybe toggle the menu thing that appears on top that says it is enabled, to make it go away or at least smaller.  It isn't a really big thing, since it is already pretty small, and probably wouldn't be much noticeable at all if played full screen.  I played it windowed, because I was doing other stuff, and I forgot how to fullscreen it.  Would you press F?  

Besides that, another thing I noticed while using self-voicing, is that it will say the numbers and letters that appear on top of the screen when you can take a screenshot.  And that it also say all the stuff in the menu while you are using, both things can get a bit annoying.  I don't really know if you can fix that, however, an easy thing I did was just to disable the self-voicing while taking a screenshot and when using the menu most of the time.  I would maybe just leaving a post or update or something suggesting people do this as well.  This is just a suggestion from me too of course.  Okay, done talking about that.  

I am going to talk about other menu stuff now.  I really like how it looks, and I like the music menu section a lot.  It is cool you can see the songs and listen to them from there.  When you enter your name, it really feels and looks so much like Undertale, it is very well-done.  

Now to talk about some more actual game stuff.  There may some more spoiler-like/spoiler-y stuff ahead, so if people haven't played the Demo, I wouldn't really read past this point.  

The in-game menu is also very good and I like the stats thing as well.  I like how it looks, and I also like how the save files look.  I hope in the full release though, there is more save files, maybe 2 or 3 at least would be nice, but for a demo, even one like yours, with some cool different options and choices, 1 is fine.  

I really like how the "fights" are in this.  Well, they are more like conversations, like Sans said, and making choices, but they are very fun, and you do them very well.  It is a fun system, and I like the amount of choices for them.  Which so far, the most interesting and fun choices have been some encounters with Flowey and Sans.  Though being able to call Tori Mom or not, was one that I really liked too.  

Like, when you originally meet Flowey, you can decide to accept his LOVE or not.  Which I didn't, because I didn't want his LOVE, because I want to date Sans, and also, because he said it as LOVE and not Love, so I wasn't accepting that Flowey, I know what you actually wanted to do.  Which was proven seconds later when he tried to kill me.  

Then the conversation with Sans later on, which didn't go too well for me.  I should have made another joke or tired flirting more, instead of trying to talk so much, and making things awkward to the point Sans took pity on me.  Though, I don't think I did TOO bad, but Sans also said our conversation could have gone better, and because I accidently overwrite my load from before the date, I decided I would finish the demo and try to see if I could do better.  Though even if I hadn't done that, I probably would have stuck with that and not change that conversation till the Demo was done anyway.  

Anyway, I got the end of the Demo, and got a call from Pap, which is really cool by the way.  And after that, I decided to reset the game to see if I can get a better conversation with Sans, I didn't realize until I had moved past the dialogue super quickly and reset a couple times thinking I had gone too far, because Sans seemed to show up earlier than the last time, that things had changed.  Again, very cool by the way.  

A lot of stuff changed after the reset, both Flowey and Sans really knew what was up, and I had very different conversations and/encounters with them.  Even Tori knew something was a bit off, though stuff with her wasn't as different as it was with Flowey and Sans.  Some different things were Flowey not attacking me in the beginning, and Sans saying we seemed bored in the beginning as well.  Flowey also brought up talk about a skip button, and that became enabled.  I didn't use it, but I do wonder how/if the characters would have reacted to being skipped (Sans defin. messed with you for doing that during Genocide).  

The most interesting thing, was the Flowey gave me a knife right before the Sans conversation this time, which Sans noticed and asked me to please put it down.  There being options to either do that ("put it down"), put it away, or FIGHT were such different options.  Of course I put it away, because I didn't want to hurt Sans; I wanted to talk to him and date him.  You then were given the option to either make a joke, hug, or kiss him.  Which is also cool.  

Something I thought about after this encounter, if Sans could be backstabbed, or like you could at least try to backstab him (not necessarily succeed at doing it) like you could in Undertale.  Maybe if you put the knife away and then hugged him, that might have been an option?  Because putting away might mean you still have the knife on your person, unlike when you put it down, and hugging him would probably be the best time to do it.  It probably wouldn't have worked though, because Sans was already pretty on-guard with seeing you have the knife and he had just met you and so thought it was too early for hugs, but it is an interesting thought.  I would try it, but that would be such a bad way to start off trying to get to know and date him, esp. since there is different stuff you get after resets, plus I don't want to hurt Sans or anyone!  I want to talk and get along with everyone, and date Sans of course!  Which I think I got closer to doing so.  

It was also cool at the end of the demo this time around, instead of from Pap, it was from Sans, another cool change.  I like the calls by way!  I hope the calls stuff is in the full game, because this has been end of the demo stuff, so Idk.  So yeah, I hope there is Calls stuff in the full game!  

That is the stuff I got/learned so far.  I haven't tried all the dialogue options and choices, and I haven't tried to reset another time, to see if there are any more changes, because I think I left stuff off well with Sans, and I would feel bad if I kept loading and resetting on him.  It is really nice that there are this many choices and replayability in just the demo, and makes me even more excited for full VN in four days.  I can tell you have put a lot of effort into this and I am looking forward to it!  

Seeing your development log, and seeing the Act 1,2, and 3, as well as the Secret Route and Epilogue makes me even more curious to play the full thing very soon!  Okay, done with my incredibly long comment/review, hope you didn't mind it.  

Now to wait for the Full VN to come out; know when it does I am going to play it.  Thank you for releasing the trailer and Demon of this already and thank you for making this VN!  The full VN is gonna be awesome once it comes out.  :)

Hi !!! I created a new account just to tell you how much I love this game/demo. The writing is beautiful and respectful of Sans’ personality (not like some over-fangirls’ work who don't understand it at all), the routes and choices too ! Even though it’s only a demo it was so full of surprises and logic. I was really fulled of admiration. I hope to see the suit one day and the others’ personality too. I really enjoyed my time playing it, thanks to you ^^
